Dancer Says Everything Is Beautiful, Spectacular, and Meaningful
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—The Shen Yun Performing Arts Company performed at The Robinson Center Music Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 20. The audience appreciated the five millennia of Chinese culture brought to life through music and dance.
Jonathan Bostick, a dancer, and his boss and mentor were among the audience. They were delighted to see Shen Yun.
“Just everything is so spectacular, and so beautiful, and so meaningful,” Mr. Bostick declared. “I find it all really fascinating. This is the first time I've seen Chinese custom dance. I think that the dancers are really trained and the choreography and the formations are executed really well.”
Mr. Bostick appreciated the live orchestra and the mix of traditional Western and Chinese instruments. “The music is really brilliant. I like the harp a lot, so I really appreciate that, and the way percussion is used, timpani and the drums, I mean it's fascinating.”
Mr. Bostick’s mentor was also enthusiastic and, said, “There are so many dancers on stage. Now there are 18 girls and 12 guys, so it's a very, very big group, and I think it creates that kind of energy. It gets you excited!”
Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company will travel next to Hong Kong to perform from Jan. 27-31.
